Get in Some Face-Time
In the whole real estate game, no matter the generation, an important factor is the human element of your business. Face-to-face time with your clients. That may be especially important now in the age of websites, email, automatic notifications, text messaging, etc.
Because of the electronic age in which we live, when buyers and sellers find you using online methods, it can be a while before you even meet in person. It’s possible that you might not meet until they are ready to go browse homes or are ready to have you list their property.
Getting in a valuable moment of ‘face-time’ is important to give your business a personal touch – to make your contact with them feel ‘real’. The goal is to put yourself in front of your past, present, and potential clients in an effective way.
So, what’s effective? I would guess that the standard ‘sales pitch’ gets old real fast. If you are trying to get yourself out there, it doesn’t always have to be completely real estate centered. You are trying to give clients an opportunity to recall who you are and what you have done, will do, or can do for them. This can be totally subtle and still have the desired effect.
A simple, informal meet and greet with little investment of time or money can net a positive and potentially profitable result. The possibilities for reaching out to your clients are endless, especially with so many special occasions and holidays throughout the year.
What are some easy, clever, or creative ways that you’ve had success getting in some face-time with your clients? Please share them here!

Marketing To The Google Generation
Getting Face-to-Face with clients is an important part of Real Estate. It is good for your clients to remember your smiling face. I started giving out pumpkins a week or two before halloween. The first two years I would bring a pumpkin by just as an opportunity to say hi. This year I am running a carving contest with the pumpkins. A gift card to the person or family with the best carved pumpkin. All they have to do is carve, take a picture of themselves with the pumkin and send it in via email, mail or drop off at the office. Adds a bit of fun and again a great way to have a quick face-to-face conversation and your clients will genuinely be happy to see you.
