The Real Estate Technology Guide: An Introduction

I’d like to introduce a new project of mine here at Point2: The Real Estate Technology Guide. The project will be entirely video based, and very selective in scope. In other words, all of the videos created will focus on some form of technology that agents use to more effectively market real estate. To make the videos easily accessible by all, I’ve created a YouTube channel that anyone and everyone is free to follow if they wish. Other videos created here at Point2 may be added to the channel as well in an effort to consolidate all of our productions in one central place.

For the seasoned real estate professionals out there, the initial videos are going to seem rudimentary. Be that as it may, even an accomplished musician must continue to rehearse scales as the foundation of his/her practice. So, for the time being, I only ask that you elites view them as simple refreshers.

Moving forward, I’d like to also provide a body of videos that appeal to more than just real estate agents. Perhaps even incorporating topics that allow agents to visually explain complex systems to buyers and sellers. Transacting real estate has grown to be such an elaborate process, especially since becoming so integrated with modern technology, that a stock of videos that clarify the agent’s role will surely help buyers and sellers to more clearly understand what’s going on behind the scenes. It is my hope that a better understanding of the industry will foster an even greater level of respect for those who live it.

The first episode focuses on listing syndication, have a peek:

As each video takes me about three days to create, I’m estimating that a bi-weekly release is within reason as it fits in well with all the other “stuff” that I do. Furthermore, I’ll generate a blog post when a new episode is added to the mix so our super-awesome readership is always kept in the loop. The “to do” list is growing fast, but I’m still open to topic suggestions if you have some ideas – just leave a comment.

This is new to me. It provides a comfort to a Buyer because they can “feel” your presence. When you talk, they listen. When you speak, the voice is captured. When you finish, you’re what they want for a Real Estate Agent; or, they go away; soon, they come back.
