Where Your Listings Go – HotPads.com
When your listings syndicate to over 35 consumer search sites, it’s nice to know a little bit more about the places your listings are appearing. In our ‘Where Your Listings Go’ series, this time around, we’re taking a closer look at HotPads.com.

HotPads was founded and launched in 2005 by Matt Corgan, Douglas Pope, and John Fitzpatrick. HotPads, based in Washington, D.C., began as a rental property search site that was run out of the apartment of Corgan and Pope until they were able to secure first round venture capital in 2007. Now, they’ve moved the business out of their apartment and into professional office space as the company continues to grow.
From humble beginnings, HotPads expanded from the rental property market to include ‘For Sale’ real estate listings. Currently the listings at HotPads number into the millions with 3,000,000 For Sale listings and 300,000 Rental listings.
Advertising listings or searching for real estate or rental properties on HotPads.com is completely free.
Finding listings is easy on HotPads, using their innovative graphical map-based search and the high quality listings with detailed information attract consumers.
HotPads recently introduced a new feature to help listings stand out even more – Featured Listings. A listing can be highlighted as a Featured Listing for a nominal cost which will ensure that the listing is promoted above all other listings on the site.
Purchase of a Featured Listing for HotPads.com is made possible and automated through your own Point2 Agent account. (For more information on purchasing a Featured Listing spotlight ad for your Point2 Agent listing on HotPads, click here.)
Other services offered by HotPads include vacation rentals and a service to find a roommate.
