myWorld1 Casual Friday: Say No to CaffeineIn keeping in with theme of food…I’m referring to Megan’s ’5 Ways Blogging is Like Bran’ Series (if you haven’t checked it out, I suggest you do)…I thought I would talk about the stuff that isn’t good for you. This week Megan and I embarked on a Total Body Cleanse to rid the body of all the junky stuff we’ve consumed throughout the summer and it’s festivities.

While visiting Nature’s Health Centre a couple weeks ago to pick up the cleanse, I was thinking, “This should be easy, I’ve done this before. Piece of cake!” Truthfully, my eating habits are pretty good so I didn’t have to adjust them much.  I eat like a rabbit most days. It was Megan’s first crack at this cleanse so it might have been a little tougher. However…the one thing I neglected to consider is how painfully addicted to coffee I am.  I need my coffee.  And no one informed me of the crazy nightmares!  After one of those all I want is a big serving of non-healthy comfort food! Celery sticks just don’t cut it.

Even though I’ve grown accustomed to the caffeine-less mornings now, I’m sure the rest of the Marketing Team can’t wait for the both of us to stroll in with a steaming hot cup of coffee on Monday morning. I won’t fully admit it, but I think it’s affected our moods a tad, so next week we’ll be a little bit…’nicer’ shall we say.

Anyway, despite the cranky moods and tired mornings, I think we are both feeling refreshed.  Just in time for the festive season only a few short months away…after that I’m sure I’ll have to do it all over again.
