Title: Business Analyst
Started at Point2: June 2008
Devon McGeary has spent the last 4 years at Point2 working on our development team. Her role has changed over the years, but these days, she splits her time between doing quality assurance and exploratory testing for all Point2 products, as well as writing stories and helping organize the work for our services team.
We asked Devon to answer a few questions about herself. Here’s what she had to say:
What is your favorite type of music?
What kinds of food do you like?
I always crave pizza so I try to eat a lot of salad to counter the pizza.
What is the most interesting place you’ve ever traveled?
The most interesting place I ever traveled to was Jamaica for my honeymoon. Until then I had never left North America and it was eye opening to see a different country.
What do you like best about your job?
The best part of my job is getting to test the Point2 software. I love coming up with creative scenarios and see what kind of bugs I can find.
If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or historical, who would it be?
If I could have dinner with anyone, alive or historical it would be Gandhi. Almost all of my favourite quotes are by him and it would be an honour to be able to pick apart his brain.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up I want to be a Zoologist. I would love getting to work with animals every day.
If you could own one piece of famous art, sculpture, memorabilia or historic artifact, what would the item be?
I would love to own any artifact from Ancient Egypt. I have been in love with Ancient Egypt since I did a report on it in high school.
What are some things on your bucket list?
Travel to Europe
Jump out of a plane (Skydive)
Pet a Tiger
What online sites do you visit?
Facebook, Netflix, Etsy
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
If I could have a super power it would be the ability to travel through time and stop time. I would love to travel back in time to major historical events.
What’s something about you that few people know?
I am a part of a Toastmasters club, but procrastinate writing speeches.
